Services
NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS), directly supports around 800,000 people every year and reaches a further million people through local community-based programs. People at risk of homelessness are supported through several FACS initiatives, foremost of which is direct assistance through FACS provided public housing. Future Directions for Social Housing (Future Directions) and the NSW Homelessness Strategy more broadly supports the delivery of the 2018/2019 Premier’s Priorities, including making housing more affordable, reducing youth homelessness and improving government services.
Program management of the Future Directions program included:
- The capture of the ICT business requirements for the Future Directions and NSW Homelessness Strategy; NSW Government’s vision for social housing over the next 10 years and the strategic priority of ‘A Better Experience in Social Housing’.
- Resource planning and management, including leading multiple teams of business analysts, enterprise and solution architects, information management specialists, project managers and change managers for the delivery of multiple programs and projects.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Development and management of a Change and Communications Strategy.
Services provided to support the HOMES software application, a strategically significant software application for FACS included:
- Commercial management of the contract
- Upgrade of HOMES software application, data centre relocation, migration and decommissioning,
- Commercial management and project management of the HOMES Program of Work IT projects (estimated number of projects annually – 15 – 20)
- Member of the taskforce for the development of a long-term IT solution to replace HOMES
- Business transformation requiring Stakeholder Engagement, Change and Communications strategy
- Resource and lead multiple teams of business analysis, enterprise and solution architects, Information Management specialists, Project Managers and Change Managers for the delivery of multiple IT programs and projects.
