Q-Build was responsible for the building and asset services for the Department of Housing and Public Works, Queensland State Government.  To augment the financial capabilities and improve the management of the assets throughout the metropolitan and regional service centres of Queensland a commercialization strategy was introduced into the business.

Scope of works included:

• Agreeing what form the change should take, the objectives of the change
• Designing the new organization way of working
• Development and approval of the procurement strategy and procurement implementation plan
• Resourcing and mentoring of the procurement specialists
• Business processes re-engineering incorporating the new procurement function; and
• Governance, stakeholder engagement and change management.
